How you are losing energy everyday and how to maximize energy

My chiropractor, Dr. John Johr, who specializes in Network Spinal Analysis (NSA), Somato Respiratory Integration (SRI), and Reorganizational Healing (ROH), first introduced me to this concept because I was GUILTY of sending my energy off to the great abyss.

 

It is something we all tend to due on a subconscious level without even noticing...

In this moment as you read this blog, I want you to notice how you are sitting. 

  • Are you sitting with your shoulders raised up to your ears?
  • Are your shoulders rolling forward creating a slouch within your spine? 
  • Is your chest caving in?
  • Does your heart feel heavy?
  • Is your head dipping forward?

As you move through your day, whether you're driving, sitting, typing on your computer, speaking in a conversation, scrolling on your phone or reading a book - You may be unconsciously allowing your energy to leak.

Energetically speaking, when you are slouching over you are:

  1. Hiding your heart
  2. Avoiding the external world to subconsciously protect yourself
  3. Causing kinks in your life force energy (think of a garden hose when it kinks & water is barely trickling)

Bad posture is causing your energy to go DOWN and OUT. So may I be the first to remind you that you are safe to remain open <3

When you sit tall with your heart open and chest exposed you are drawing energy UP and IN.

When your chest is open, when your heart is open - you automatically & effortlessly become open to:

  • Receiving
  • Absorbing
  • Life itself

Start reclaiming your energy by following these 4 simple steps to pull your energy UP and IN!

1.) Notice 

2.) Adjust your posture

3.) Breathe

4.) Affirm


THE STEP-BY-STEP BREAKDOWN:


1.) Notice

Notice when you are slouching and your heart is sinking inward. This can be when you are driving, typing on your computer, watching TV, eating food, texting or talking to someone in person and of course just sitting.

Awareness is always the first step.


2.) Adjust your posture

Sit tall by pulling up through the crown of the head.

Gently roll the shoulders up and back - this invites your heart space, spine and chest to naturally open.

The trick is to release any tension while also allowing the body to sit tall, open & strong.

(you're not contorting your body into an uncomfortable position, focus on how it feels to LENGTHEN the spine)


3.) Breathe

Draw a slow nourishing breath in through the nose, drawing the breath in through your heart.

Notice how it feels to consciously breathe while sitting tall, open and illuminated.


4.) Make an affirmation out of it

When I was working hard to correct my posture to pull my energy up and in, I kept repeating back to myself literally, “UP and IN.”

Not only did this help remind me to keep awareness of my mind, body and spirit but I felt like I was drawing life energy back into my body with those simple words.
